Mining is a recognized industry in the Philippines engaged in the extraction of our natural resources, which, if done properly, has a vast potential in contributing to the country’s economic development.
In pursuing the advocacies of Stratbase-ADRi and Philippine Business for Environmental Stewardship (PBEST), the mandate of Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD), and considering the present situation of the mining industry, a mining workshop entitled: “Forging Partnerships for the Development of the Philippine Mining Industry”, was held earlier on November 21, Monday, at the Manila Golf and Country Club, where inputs of mining stakeholders will become part of a formal agreement between PCIEERD and the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, that has the objective of utilizing the research and development arm of the government for the advancement of mining operations and processes in the country.
